Saint Magnhild of Fulltofta
Born around 1150 in Skåne, from an influential family. She was in contact with the Archbishop and other dignitaries of the church.
She is known for serving society and caring for the poor and sick.
At a young age she was married off and moved to her husband’s family farm. Her husband dies early, after which she returns to Benarp with her son. She goes to live in a country farm owned by her uncle. Under beautiful beech trees, she prays her daily devotions.
Her son also marries lavishly, but unfortunately he also dies very young. Leaving Magnhild and her daughter-in-law alone. Both ladies don’t get along. Magnhild spends too much money on the poor and sick, to the liking of her daughter-in-law. They want to save as much money as possible. The daughter-in-law then hires an assassin who kills Magnhild with an arrow in 1215. When she was praying in the beech forest. Magnhild was buried in the church of Fulltofta.
