The common people could not sing any of the 150 monastic psalms by heart; Just like the monks did. To simplify this, the Rosary was prayed.
First, the Lord’s Prayer was prayed 150 times. Later in the Middle Ages, when the devotion to Mary was on the rise, the Hail Mary prayer was prayed 150 times.
The Dominican Alanus de Rupe shaped the rosary as we know it today through his preaching.

October is the month of the Rosary. <\/strong><\/p>

After the victory over the Islamic Ottoman Empire, at the battle of Lepanto on October 7, 1571, Pope Pius V set October 7 as the official holiday of the rosary. The Battle of Lepanto was a naval battle of the Christian Holy League and the Ottomans. This Holy Christian League was on the initiative of Pope Pius V and dissolved shortly after his death. <\/p>

The Holy League included the Papal States, the Spanish-Habsburg kingdoms, Naples and Sicily, the republics of Venice and Genoa, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, Duchy of Savoy. Parama and Urbino and the Order of Malta. <\/p>

Winning this naval battle is attributed to the praying of the rosary by both the soldiers and the people.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Rosary = <\/strong>if the rosary is completed in 1 go, then it has a rosary. At each small bead the Hail Mary is prayed and at a large bead the Lord’s Prayer. <\/p>

The name hat comes from the wreath -or hat- of 12 stars around her head, which she received after she was crowned in Heaven. Mary as a symbol, bride of Christ. <\/p>

What is the difference between praying a rosary and praying the rosary?<\/p>

When you pray the prayer bead once, you have prayed a rosary. This consists of the sign of the cross, the profession of faith, 3 Hail Marys and 5 decades of each an Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and the Glory be to the Father. With every decade you can meditate on a mystery of the rosary. You close with the sign of the cross. <\/p>

To pray the rosary, go around the prayer bead 4 times. You will have meditated on all 20 mysteries of the Rosary. <\/p>

The angel Gabriel brings the Good News to Mary<\/p>

In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to the city of Nazareth in Galilee, to a girl who had been married off to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The girl’s name was Maria. Gabriel went into her house and said, “Greetings Mary, you are favored, the Lord is with you.” She was shocked when she heard his words and wondered what that greeting meant. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, God has given you his favor. Listen, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will become a great man and be called Son of the Most High, and God the Lord will give him the throne of David his father. He will be king over the people of Jacob forever, and there will be no end to his kingdom. <\/p>

Mary asked the angel, “How will that happen? After all, I’ve never had intercourse with a man.’ The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you like a shadow. Therefore, the child that is born will be called holy and Son of God. Listen, your family member Elisabet is also pregnant with a son, despite her advanced age. She is now, even though she was thought to be barren, in the sixth month of her pregnancy, for nothing is impossible for God.” Mary said, “I will serve the Lord: let it be done to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her alone again. Joyful Mysteries 2 <\/strong><\/p>

Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth <\/strong><\/p>

Shortly thereafter, Mary traveled in great haste to the mountainous country, to a city in Judah, where she entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child jumped up in her womb; she was filled with the Holy Spirit and cried out loudly: ‘You are the most blessed of all women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! Who am I that the mother of my Lord should come to me? When I heard your greeting, the child leaped for joy in my womb. Happy is she who has believed that the words of the Lord will be fulfilled. <\/p>

Mary said, “My soul praises and praises the Lord,
my heart rejoices in God, my Savior:
He had an eye for me, his least servant.
All generations will henceforth call me happy,
yes, the mighty one has done great things for me,
Holy is his name.

Joyful Mysteries 3 <\/strong><\/p>

Jesus is born in a stable in Bethlehem<\/strong><\/p>

At that time, Emperor Augustus promulgated a decree that all inhabitants of the empire had to register. This first census took place during Quirinius’ reign over Syria. Everyone went on their way to be registered, each to the place where he came from. Joseph went from the city of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, since he was descended from David, to register with Mary, his wife-to-be, who was pregnant. While they were there, the day of her delivery arrived, and she gave birth to a son, her firstborn. She wrapped him in a cloth and put him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the city’s night quarters. <\/p>

Not far from there, shepherds spent the night in the field, keeping watch over their flocks. Suddenly an angel of the Lord stood by them and they were surrounded by the radiant light of the Lord, so that they were greatly frightened. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I have come to bring you good news that will fill all the people with great joy: today your savior has been born in the city of David. He is the messiah, the Lord. This will be the sign for you: you will find a newborn child wrapped in a cloth in a manger.” And suddenly a great heavenly army joined the angel, praising God, saying: <\/p>

“Glory to God in the Highest Heaven<\/p>

and peace on earth to all the people he loves.<\/p>

When the angels had gone back to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go to Bethlehem to see with our own eyes what has happened and what the Lord has made known to us.’ They immediately set out, and found Mary and Joseph and the child lying in the manger. When they saw the child, they told them what they had been told about that child. All who heard were astonished at what the shepherds said to them, but Mary kept all these words in her heart and continued to think about them.
