Myrrh, aloe, precious ointments \u2014 not to heal\u2026 but to lovingly care for His body.<br>To honour what they believe they have lost. Still in mourning. They gather to go to the tomb together. And they ask one another: \u201cWho will roll the stone away for us?\u201d For even in their love\u2026 there lies an obstacle they cannot carry themselves. To give what can still be given \u2014<br>reverence, gentleness, love\u2026 to the very end.      <\/p><p>But the earth has already spoken. For while the night slowly fades and the world still holds its breath\u2026 Jesus has already left the tomb. No longer as man, but in glorification. A different state of being \u2014 between heaven and earth. Peter denied Him three times. They believe it is over. Hope has collapsed. So what is broken must be restored.<br>Relationships must be healed. Trust must be rebuilt.<br>He does not do this en masse, but personally. Two angels descend, and the stone is rolled away. They sit upon it.  <br>The Roman guards are seized with fear and flee in terror \u2014 powerless before what they cannot understand. Where man guards, heaven opens.   <br>The angels remain, not to free Him\u2026 but to show the people: He is already free. He has risen from the dead.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d463592 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"d463592\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-426f326 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"426f326\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the dim light of early morning, while darkness still lingers, Mary Magdalene arrives first at the tomb. She sees that it is empty. Confused and shaken, she runs to the disciples \u2014 Peter and John: \u201cThey have taken the Lord away\u2026\u201d They too see the empty tomb, and do not understand. Overcome with grief, Mary remains. She sees two angels. Then she notices someone \u2014 a gardener. The \u201cgardener\u201d speaks a single word: \u201cMary.\u201d And everything changes. It is HIM. He lives ! \u201cRabboni.\u201d (Aramaic for my Master)<br>And here \u2014 precisely here \u2014 Easter begins. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9c6a1f1 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"9c6a1f1\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f5ce52e e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"f5ce52e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d3540d3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d3540d3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p> <\/p><p>He says: \u201cNoli me tangere.\u201d Latin for: Do not hold on to Me. The tension between what was<br>and what is now. Love \u2014 closeness \u2014 and then suddenly\u2026 distance. She loves Him.<br>\ud83d\udc49 She remains<br>\ud83d\udc49 She weeps<br>\ud83d\udc49 She recognizes Him<br>And then\u2026<br>\u201cDo not hold Me.\u201d <\/p><p>This is not a flaw in the story. <strong>This is the story.<\/strong><em><strong><br><\/strong><\/em>For what she wants to hold on to\u2026 is what has been. But He now lives beyond that. <\/p><p>We see here that Mary Magdalene is the first to witness the Resurrection. This is not by chance. She goes first. She remains when others leave. She seeks, even without understanding. They are defeated, disheartened. One of them is Cleopas; the name of the other is unknown. Perhaps it is you. Everything they had hoped for seems lost.<\/p><p><br \/>Then a stranger joins them. He walks beside them. They do not recognize Him. He listens\u2026 and begins to explain the Scriptures \u2014 the sacred texts of the Tanakh. He reveals how everything that has happened had to happen. Slowly, something begins to burn within their hearts, yet recognition still does not come.<br \/>After a long day, they arrive in Emmaus.
