Ese es el comienzo de la Cuaresma, tras un periodo de celebraci\u00f3n del carnaval, buena comida y bebida. La Cuaresma dura 40 d\u00edas hasta la Pascua. 40 d\u00edas en los que Jes\u00fas fue al desierto, no comi\u00f3 ni bebi\u00f3 y fue puesto a prueba por Satan\u00e1s.   <\/p><p>La cruz de ceniza es para la reflexi\u00f3n, la penitencia, la conversi\u00f3n. En tiempos pasados, quienes lloraban o hac\u00edan penitencia hac\u00edan: untarse cenizas a s\u00ed mismos. Lo mostraste p\u00fablicamente. Hoy en d\u00eda seguimos usando ropa de luto. Las cenizas no son solo cenizas. Se elabora con ramas de palma quemadas. Las ramas de palmera que se usaron en el Domingo de Ramos del a\u00f1o pasado. La gente saludaba a Jes\u00fas en un burro cuando entraba en Jerusal\u00e9n. Y c\u00e1ntale: \u00abHosanna en lo M\u00e1s Alto\u00bb. Porque la cruz se hace con cenizas, es porque Jes\u00fas era humano y por tanto mortal. La ceniza \u00ablimpia\u00bb al mismo tiempo, como hace el jab\u00f3n.
