que la primera cruzada fuera liderada por la Iglesia y no por laicos. Por ello, envi\u00f3 a Ademar de Monteil, obispo de Le Pug. Fue el legado papal durante la Primera Cruzada. (1095 \u2013 1099). Un legado es alguien elegido por el Papa para actuar en su nombre en determinados asuntos. A menudo se le enviaba a negociar un tratado, resolver disputas e incluso coronar a un rey si el propio papa no pod\u00eda hacerlo en persona. Ademar de Monteil, obispo de Le Puy. Ademaro era un obispo de la vieja escuela y pod\u00eda montar a caballo y llevar armadura. Durante la cruzada, Ademar demostr\u00f3 varias veces sus capacidades militares. El papa Urbano incluso quer\u00eda que Ademar se convirtiera en patriarca de Jerusal\u00e9n. \u00bfQuiz\u00e1 esta sea la raz\u00f3n subyacente por la que Godofredo no quiso convertirse en rey de Jerusal\u00e9n?          <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-51a234e elementor-section-content-middle elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"51a234e\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-89df05e\" data-id=\"89df05e\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3aa36fe elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3aa36fe\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>En ese momento, todos los ej\u00e9rcitos iban acompa\u00f1ados de sacerdotes y, quiz\u00e1s porque era el Papa quien quer\u00eda la existencia del ej\u00e9rcito cruzado, se limit\u00f3 a poner tambi\u00e9n a disposici\u00f3n del sacerdote para la expedici\u00f3n. El t\u00edtulo de legado apost\u00f3lico y las cualidades personales del obispo Ademaro de Monteil le valieron la confianza y el respeto de los cruzados.
