Un fort <\/strong>est une structure militaire fortifi\u00e9e destin\u00e9e \u00e0 se d\u00e9fendre contre les attaques ennemies. Une forteresse est situ\u00e9e juste \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de la ville, de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence sur une colline, pour une bonne vue sur la zone. Dans un fort, il n\u2019y a que des soldats. <\/p>

Forteresse <\/strong>est un autre mot pour forteresse. Ils veulent tous les deux dire la m\u00eame chose. <\/p>

Une citadelle<\/strong> est une grande forteresse. Citadelle vient du fran\u00e7ais citadelle, qui lui-m\u00eame vient de l\u2019italien cittadella. C\u2019est un diminutif pour citta = ville. <\/p>

Une forteresse et une citadelle \u00e9taient avant tout un refuge contre les attaques ext\u00e9rieures. Dans le second cas, il s\u2019agissait de garder les citoyens sous contr\u00f4le en cas d\u2019\u00e9meutes. <\/p>

Un ch\u00e2teau <\/strong>est aussi un b\u00e2timent fortifi\u00e9, mais a aussi une fonction r\u00e9sidentielle pour les riches. Castle vient du mot latin castellum. <\/p>

Un palais<\/strong> est l\u2019endroit o\u00f9 r\u00e9side un prince ou un \u00e9v\u00eaque r\u00e9gnant. La fonction principale de Castle est de d\u00e9fendre et moins comme un luxe. Un palais, c\u2019est l\u2019inverse. Les palais sont avant tout des r\u00e9sidences pour les rois et reines. En d\u2019autres termes, plut\u00f4t un immeuble de bureaux, \u00e0 partir duquel gouverner. <\/p>

Un ch\u00e2teau<\/strong> est une maison fortifi\u00e9e, \u00e9galement destin\u00e9e \u00e0 se prot\u00e9ger contre les attaques ext\u00e9rieures. Burcht vient du mot allemand Burg, qui signifie \u00e9tablissement fortifi\u00e9. La protection est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un double mur de pierre. Avec un canal entre les deux, possiblement avec un pont-levis. Il y a des tours dans les murs ext\u00e9rieurs, qui servent de point de vue et de refuge. Les ch\u00e2teaux sont moins luxueux que les ch\u00e2teaux. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019auXVe si\u00e8cle,<\/sup> lorsque la d\u00e9fense devint de moins en moins n\u00e9cessaire et que le luxe devint important pour le prestige, qu\u2019on commen\u00e7a \u00e0 appeler les ch\u00e2teaux des ch\u00e2teaux. Plus il y avait de luxe, comme des salles de bal, des chambres d\u2019amis, des quartiers d\u2019habitation, des cours, des jardins magnifiquement paysag\u00e9s, plus on avait de prestige, de statut et de pouvoir. <\/p>

Un ch\u00e2teau <\/strong>est un autre mot pour d\u00e9signer ch\u00e2teau. Ils veulent tous les deux dire la m\u00eame chose. <\/p>

Un bastion <\/strong>fait partie d\u2019un fort. <\/strong>C\u2019est une partie saillante du mur ext\u00e9rieur\/mur d\u00e9fensif. Fait de terre ou de pierre.
