Den romerske kejsaren Maxentius (306\u2013312) vill gifta sig med henne. Men hon v\u00e4grar, eftersom hon vill beh\u00e5lla sin oskuld och sin tro. Kejsaren \u00e4r rasande och torterar henne p\u00e5 hjulet. Vassa j\u00e4rnspetsar har gjorts p\u00e5 den. Men Catharina g\u00e5r inte s\u00f6nder, men hon f\u00f6rst\u00f6r hjulet!!     <\/p><p>Kejsaren l\u00e4t henne sedan halshuggas.<\/p><p>M\u00e5nga kloster \u00e4r till\u00e4gnade henne och hon \u00e5kallar ocks\u00e5 f\u00f6r smittsamma sjukdomar, s\u00e5som pesten.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c7785a5 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c7785a5\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1f33cbc e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"1f33cbc\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aad6537 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"aad6537\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Sankta Katarina av berget Sinai,<br>Sankta Katarina av berget Sinai.<br>Dynastisk orden av Lusignan-familjen,<br>titul\u00e4ra kungar \u00f6ver kungad\u00f6mena Jerusalem, Cypern och Armenien.<br>Sankta Katarina-orden av berget Sinai, en dynastisk orden inom Lusignan-familjen, har funnits sedan 1100-talet.<br>Ordens ursprungliga uppgift var att ta hand om resen\u00e4rer som skulle till berget Sinai, d\u00e4r kistan med askan efter Sankta Katarina av Alexandria (den stora martyren Sankta Katarina) l\u00e5g.<br>Troende reste till denna grav, fr\u00e5n n\u00e4r och fj\u00e4rran, och f\u00f6r att skydda pilgrimerna samlades en grupp riddare.<\/p><p>De lovade att f\u00f6lja pilgrimerna till Sankta Katarina kvarlevor och att lyda sin ledare \u2013 ordens ledare fr\u00e5n Lusignans kungafamilj \u2013 villkorsl\u00f6st.<br>Endast de som hade bes\u00f6kt Sankta Katarinas grav blev invalda i orden.<br>Efter sin initiering kallades de riddare av Sankta Katarina. De levde och agerade enligt Sankt Basilios regler, som fastst\u00e4llde riktlinjer f\u00f6r klosterlivet med fokus p\u00e5 gemenskapsliv, liturgisk b\u00f6n och manuellt arbete.<br>Kung Levon VI av Armenien (1342\u20131393) tog \u00f6ver ledarskapet f\u00f6r orden, varefter den \u00f6vergick till den cypriotiska sidogrenen av kungahuset Lusignan och d\u00e4refter till deras \u00e4ttlingar. <\/p><p>Orden har \u00e5terupplivats flera g\u00e5nger av \u00e4ttlingarna till Lusignans kungahus.
